How to Set Up Netgear EAX50 Range Extender?

  • In the same room where you have plugged your WiFi router 
  • connect your EAX50 to an open electrical outlet.
  • After rebooting your router, turn on the Netgear extender.
  • On your laptop or PC with WiFi capability
  • open the WiFi settings and look for the Netgear_EXT default SSID of the extender.
  • For access to the internet via WiFi of the EAX50 extender

  4. Wait for Connection: Wait for the WPS LED on the EAX50 to stop blinking and turn solid, indicating a successful connection.

  • Make sure your computer or device is connected to the Netgear EAX50 network.
  • Open a web browser on your device.
  • work, check if you’ve changed them previously.
  • If you still can’t log in, you might need to reset the extender to factory settings. 
  • press and hold the reset button on the extender for about 10 seconds until the LED blinks.
  • After resetting, try logging in again using the default credentials.

How to Reset the Netgear RAX50 Router To Factory Default

  1. Turn on the Netgear RAX50 router
  2. Look for the reset button. 
  3. Few routers have a tiny hole and few others have a reset button.
  4. Press the Factory reset button with a straightened paper clip pin or something that gets through the tiny hole
  5.  For about 15 seconds! (till you see all the lights flashing)
  6. The Netgear RAX50 router will reboot automatically. 
  7. The unit has been reset and is ready to use.
