Netgear EX6000 extender Setup

Before setting up the Netgear EX6000 extender setup, plug it into a power outlet close to your router. Join the NETGEAR_EXT network on a WiFi-capable device, then click to mywifiext.net setup in a web browser. Follow the setup wizard’s instructions to connect the extender to the current WiFi network.

Netgear EX6000 Wifi Extender Setup | WPS Method

  • Plug the Netgear EX6000 extender to an outlet next to your router.
  • Await the Power LED’s solid green turn.
  • Add your device to the extender’s built-in WiFi network, NETGEAR_EXT.
  • Open a web browser and enter mywifiext.net setup.
  • Either create a new account or use the default credentials.
  • Just follow these steps to connect the extender to your existing WiFi network.
  • Once setup, position the extender midway between the router and the area where WiFi is poor.
  • Reconnect your devices to the bigger network to boost coverage.
  • Plug the Netgear EX6000 extender into an electrical outlet and place it next to your WiFi router.
  • Make sure the extender is turned on as soon as the Power LED fixes.
  • Enter the WPS key on the EX6000.
  • For two minutes, press the WPS button.
  • As the WPS LED on the extender  turns solid green, it implies the connection was successful.
  • The extender should be set between your router and the area with little WiFi signal.
  • Wait for a fresh connection to be made by the router and extender.
  • Connect your devices to the newly larger WiFi network.

  • After saving what you chose, completely log out.

Netgear EX6000 | Reset Process

  • Select the reset option for the Netgear EX6000 extender.
  • With a paperclip or other tiny object, click and hold the Reset button for around seven seconds.
  • Release the button when the Power LED starts to blink, indicating that the reset is in action.
  • It can take a few minutes for the extender to fully restart.
  • After the extender has been reset, modify its settings as needed.
